Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PDFEditor (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
PDFEditor provides browser-based tools for editing PDF files. All processing runs locally in your browser. The Service is provided “as is” and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time.
3. Free Tier & Paid Access
The Service is available under the following tiers:
- Free tier: Up to 3 PDF operations per day. No payment required.
- One-time access: A single payment grants one download credit with no expiry. The credit is consumed when you download a processed file.
- Pro subscription: A recurring monthly payment grants unlimited operations for the duration of the active subscription. Access is revoked immediately upon cancellation or payment failure.
4. Payments & Refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. By making a purchase you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
- One-time purchases are non-refundable once the download credit has been used.
- Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued.
- If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using a paid feature, contact us within 7 days for a resolution or refund at our discretion.
5. Anonymous Sessions & Access Loss
Access is tied to an anonymous browser cookie (pdf_uid). There are no user accounts. Clearing your browser cookies or switching to a different browser or device will result in loss of access to any paid tier. We are not responsible for access loss due to cookie deletion. If this happens and you have a valid payment receipt, contact us and we will restore your access.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Process files containing illegal content
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits through automated means
- Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the Service
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PDFEditor and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of any files you process using the Service.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that results will be accurate. Use the Service at your own risk and always keep backups of your original files.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFEditor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss or file corruption.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
